We currently have a casual position available for a professional and motivated Security/Customer Relations Officer to join our friendly and supportive team. As a member of the Security and Surveillance team, you will ensure the safety and security of our members and guests by patrolling all areas of the Club.


About the Role…


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive environment with ongoing training and development to extend your knowledge and skills within the security industry.


In this role, you will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • Delivering friendly and efficient service to all patrons and guests
  • Providing patrons and guests with helpful advice and guidance around the Club
  • Informing management of any incidents and developments regarding customer service and complaints
  • Completing relevant records and reports as required with details of events
  • Providing support in emergency situations in a calm and professional manner, and actively providing information to any emergency services when requested to do so
  • Ensuring members and guests who are not granted access to the Club are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the premises
  • Providing first aid assistance to patrons and guests when required

About you…


We are seeking a positive and customer-focused Security/Customer Relations Officer with outstanding customer service skills, to join our talented and friendly team and ensure an exceptional level of customer service is offered to our members and guests.


To be successful in this role you need to possess the following:


Skills and Competencies:

  • Current NSW RSA & RCG Competency Card (essential)
  • Previous experience in a security or conflict resolution role (highly desirable)
  • Current Class 1 (a) and 1 (c) Full Security Licence
  • Certificate III in Security
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Flexibility to work a rotating 24 hours, a 7-day roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of WH&S Regulations
  • Full working rights in Australia

You will also be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Initiative and problem solving
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain a sense of control in difficult situations
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to assess a situation quickly, using appropriate actions to diffuse a situation and provide effective solutions, particularly with people demonstrating disruptive behaviour
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously in addition to a team environment
