Kent Homes is accepting applications for a Buyer.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast paced ever-changing atmosphere. The candidate must be hardworking, a self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Education Required:
- High School or Equivalent
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree asset
- Years of Experience Required: 2-5 years experience in a related field
- Successful candidates must possess the following
- Great communication skills, written and oral
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ERP experience
- Oracle would be considered an asset
- Self starter, highly responsive, proactively solve problems quickly
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase equipment and order materials (windows, doors, roofing, siding and shutters) for current and future construction projects
- Check and update material inventory on the production line to ensure materials are on hand, on time, for existing orders
- Consistent communication with the production team regarding necessary purchases
- Interdepartmental communication regarding production materials
- Expediting materials with suppliers when required
- Working with suppliers on innovative product solutions to improve our manufacturing process
