What is the opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an engaged, strong team that values inclusivity at the core of all we do.

You will be involved in new business generation, sector profiling, financial modelling, credit analysis, preparation of credit proposals and team MI. The role will also involve monitoring and reporting on the Bank's portfolio of development and growth fund investments.

In this role you will

  • Support the Origination & Intermediaries team in its activities including lead generation, transaction modelling/structuring, supporting & maintain digital profile of the team, internal/external engagement to ensure successful execution of cash flow lending transactions.

  • Conduct credit assessment and related credit processes.

  • Recognise potential business growth opportunities.

  • Complete administrative tasks and adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory controls.

  • Participate in various projects and initiatives as required.

What will make you stand out

You will have previous experience in developing new business opportunities, networking, transaction structuring, credit writing and transaction execution.

Previous business or corporate banking experience is crucial for this role

You have excellent knowledge and experience operating in the Irish mid corporate / SME market including products and debt structures.

You have great business development experience from previous roles.

Your knowledge of the intermediary network and firms operating within it is second to none!

Your interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are fantastic

You enjoy working as part of a successful team but equally you are comfortable working on your own initiative

You have brilliant report writing and sales skills and you thrive when working to tight and challenging timelines

Your analytical skills and interest in financial modelling and problem solving are superb

You are proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CRM or equivalent. There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

The career opportunity arises within Corporate Banking Ireland's Origination & Market Developments team based in Dublin. Our team's activities focus on cash flow lending, leveraged acquisition finance and other opportunities sourced from a wide network of domestic and international intermediaries in addition to a coordinated calling programme targeting non-BOI customers in the Republic of Ireland.

THis is a hybrid role and can be done anaywhere in the REpublic of Ireland with the promary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager
